I am no trouble maker but this trending hashtag #EkoMustMove is something I really can not overlook especially at this time.
Come sun there is traffic, Come rain we are in deep shit.
Working on the Island and living on the mainland is like you preparing your own death sentence, those that do this routine can clearly understand me very well without no further statement. Imagine waking up as early as 4am to get set for work and then you leave the house 5am to beat your resumption time only for you to be in traffic for about 4 hours. WHY??? because it rained.
To be honest this is mentally derailing, it doesn't help the brain and neither does it help the body and not every one of us gets the opportunity of moving down to the island to live or find a more convenient job on the mainland.
Leaving the house at an early hour isn't safe for both genders, you either get robbed of your belongings or worst case scenario you enter a Once Chance bus or Cab. These things happen on a daily because these perpetrators already know people are helpless and vulnerable during this hour of the day.
Victims can tell how hard it is for them to enter a bus at an early or late hour of the day because of their past experience. #EkoMustMove
If doing this hashtag is what we need to get the newly elected governor Babajide Sanwolu to hear our cries then let's do this.
God bless Nigeria!!!
